Sneak Peak of my Week as a Service Provider and Coach

Welcome to another episode of the Business Ease podcast.  In this episode, I'm going to give you a sneak peek into what my week looks like as a service provider and a coach.

Let’s dive in!

The Service Provider Side to My Business

I have one-on-one clients who I work with directly.  I also have an Instagram management agency that I run with a friend, Elise Hodge called Simple Social House.   So, this is the services side to my business.

The Coaching Side to My Business

I have two memberships, the first is the Accountability Club, which is more of a higher level in terms of more support from me.

The second is a Service Biz Hub membership which is only $7.00 a month.  It's always open and has lots of templates and resources that are proven to work.  It also includes one monthly call from me.

So that's what it looks like in terms of what my offers are.  My marketing strategies are using Instagram pitching ads and I also have a podcast.

Full-time Teaching Position

In terms of my weekly schedule, I currently have a full-time teaching job, which I started earlier this year.   I never really intended on going full-time as I was happy with doing relief teaching. When a contract came along I took it and found I really enjoyed it.

My four areas of business

  • sales and marketing

  • client delivery, client work offerings

  • admin and operations

  • project based

What My Week Actually Looks Like

  • Right now, because I have a teaching position, I work from around 6:00am to 7:30am in the morning. One of these mornings is dedicated to content and marketing.  So that's where I do content batch, Instagram and record any guest podcasts.

Two other mornings are when I do bigger client work, so things like office hours calls for my membership and other sort of project-based client work.  Any team meetings, all of that kind of thing is on those two days.

One day is for admin and operations.

The last day is white space.

  • I usually work from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the afternoons doing client work. So that includes either team meetings or other Q&A call styles.

  • I usually work 2 hours on a Saturday morning doing project-based work, because that’s when I can focus on that the best.

  • On the school holidays I usually batch out podcast content so that I'm not recording that every week.

I have a team that allows me to do the above schedule along with my 5 day per week teaching job. I have been very intentional about making sure my business is simple, scalable and fun.  The lenses that I look at my business through are making sure my marketing strategies, my client work, etc. is always fun and easy.

I hope it has been helpful to get a sneak peek of the season that I am currently in.  If you have any follow up questions or if you want to create a custom schedule for yourself, definitely go and check out the hub of resources.  You can go to the scheduled training that unpacks all of this in much more depth and allows you to create your own schedule that makes sense for you.
